Silindile School Fundraising Raffle

Silver Shuttleworth (Owners’ Rob and Julia’s daughter) has created a fundraising campaign. In her words:

Silindile, KwaZulu-Natal is a small farm school in our farming community that teaches the sweetest group of children. I have been down there to visit them to find out how I could help. I would like to support rural school educators and this one is close to where we live and has a very friendly and dedicated staff.

When I spoke to the principal he said that they are very short of storage and classroom space and I could see that the grass was overgrown. My dad has been called there to remove snakes a couple of times. My goal is to raise enough money to buy and deliver a lockable shipping container so that they can securely keep extra equipment for the school and free up classroom space.

They also need a brushcutter, chainsaw and other gardening implements to keep the school grounds tidy and safe from snakes as well as a laptop for record-keeping. I would like to help rural educators wherever possible to improve their circumstances because I believe that they can really make a difference in the lives of the children who attend these schools.

For every R100 donated we will give you a ticket into a raffle.

The prizes are-

First prize: A limited edition Pangolin Ball sculpture valued at R12800 (14x13x9cm)

Second prize: A 150x200cm polypropylene rug valued at R5400
