Privacy Policy (POPIA)

Shuttleworth Weaving ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use this website or place an order, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and payment information (processed securely via PayFast — we do not store your card details ourselves).

Why we collect it

We use your information to process and fulfil your order, arrange shipping, respond to enquiries, issue invoices, and — only if you've opted in — send you marketing emails about new pieces and updates.

Who we share it with

We share only what's necessary with trusted third parties to run our business: our payment processor (PayFast), our courier/shipping partners, our inventory system (Zoho), and our invoicing provider. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, object to how it's processed, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time (simply unsubscribe from any newsletter email, or contact us directly).

How long we keep it

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, financial and tax record-keeping).

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure.

Information Officer

Our designated Information Officer can be contacted at jess@shuttleworthweaving.com for any questions, concerns, or requests relating to your personal information.

Complaints

If you believe your information has not been handled in accordance with POPIA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforeg.org.za).
